QST 2014 Dec Cover - Southern Alberta
I shot the cover photo for the 2014 December issue of QST the morning after a fresh snowfall that fell overnight on southern Alberta.
The landscape looked dazzling to say the least, wearing its new winter coat and high-lighted by all that Alberta sunshine.
I had a great morning backroading while working the HF bands, and searching out other scenes like this one.
The roads had not been plowed yet as I backroaded in the Priddis /Millarville area, near where the CBC's hit show "Heartland" is filmed.

The original photo was shot in my ham shack, and by following this link you will find a description on my one-tube regen receiver....
