VE6AB Mobile Ops
VE6AB-8 Mobile Weather Ops
This is the way the weather is displayed on my Kenwood TH-D710A when my VE6AB-8 weather station located in the rear cargo area of my mobile beacons.
What I wanted to show you, is how my VE6AB-8 displays in an mobile environment, when it kicks out a weather packet that goes out as RF for mobiles , as well as on to the Internet, where VE6AB-8 may be seen at aprs.fi
Just so you know, I am not done with my mobile weather station, as I have further plans on adding extras that allow for this weather station to become a stand alone solar-charged weather station when required, for those times that I wish to strategically place it on location where the weather happening in real time would be of importance at a different location, due to circumstances not unlike the floods that occurred here in southern Alberta in June of 2013.
An example of this would be for a situation such as this post I wrote on a mock disaster exercise that I took part in recently.
