Portable Ops
Sunday morning finds my truck pulled over in to an approach north of Calgary, where I set up my push-up mast on my 12 volt rotator with my 3 band log-periodic antenna up top, to check in to the Sunday morning 2 meter SSB net on 144.200 mhz.
The Yaesu FT-897D seen sitting on the cargo-bay cover, as well as the 12 volt rotator mounted in the hitch receiver, are being powered by the auxiliary battery mounted in the cargo bay of my mobile.
