Dawn...The Final Frontier
Once again, dawn finds me out and about on the plains of southern Alberta...where testing of my 17 meter monobander, mounted on the left rear quarter panel of my Avalanche, my latest antenna creation, was front and center on the day.
Just so you know, dawn is the time that marks the beginning of the twilight before sunrise.
You can recognize it by the presence of what passes for weak sunlight, while the Sun itself is still below the horizon as in my photo.
Dawn should not be confused with sunrise, which is the moment when the leading edge of the Sun itself appears above the horizon
If you would like to witness a stunning dawn followed by sunrise....look for broken low-lying clouds on the eastern horizon as seen in the above photo, and you will be treated to a wonderful sky in the morning.
