Rarefied Air
Recently I loaded up my wife and took a drive that I look forward to at this time of the year (November) just before the gates allowing access to the Kananaskis Highway located southwest of Calgary AB over the Highwood Pass is locked down for the winter.
In this photo, you find my mobile sitting at the top of the summit of the Highwood Pass, the highest drivable paved highway in Canada at an elevation of 7239 feet above sea-level.
And yes, I had my mobile loaded with all the radio gear I planned on using while on this road trip.
Included in the ham radio equipment stored in my cargo bay was my Max Gains push-up mast, 12 volt rotator, and my log-periodic antenna.
