VE6AB Mobile Ops
Ultimate Survival Technologies
Of course it goes without saying that while going down the road, on occasion I do get out of my mobile and hit the trail for adventures in the back-country.
While doing that, its imperative that I always stay connected, and in most cases that is with the help of an APRS device connected to my mobile, and from there a distant digipeater connected to the world at large.
I have numerous APRS devices that I can choose from, but there were times in the past when I didn't have a full-up bi-directional APRS messaging device that was waterproof required because I was fly-fishing on one of my favorite trout streams located along the eastern slope of the Rockies, or for various other reasons.
Of course there are other times when a waterproof device would be the first choice, like being on a hiking trail in the rain and.....well you get it.
The APRS bi-directional Bluetooth device shown here originally was several separate APRS devices that I modified and combined into one APRS unit, is described in detail through the link shown below, check it out...............
