VE6AB Mobile Ops
Badlands Mobile Ops
The photo finds me backroading in the badlands of southeastern AB, where I spent several days camped in these badlands, my base of operations while I spent time photographing in the area during the day, and working the HF bands from my camp in the evenings.
I love this area, and over the years I have spent a lot of time becoming familiar with the badlands as seen here, as well as the surrounding plains.
There is so much going for this area of Alberta, with the nights providing inky-black skies for star gazing, and with daylight comes the fun of looking for fossils in the badlands, that were once the home of the T-Rex.
Of course there is the wildlife that includes several hundred of species of birds that are fun to observe while hiking through the valleys and buttes.
I believe my photos speak for themselves in describing the stunning landscapes that make up this part of southern AB, and make me want to return again and again.
