Beneath The Horizon
With the sun still below the horizon, but due to rise within the next few minutes, my quest for wildlife photos probably wasn't going to happen anytime soon, as it was a given that the any wildlife in the area were holding tight in cover trying to keep warm.
Still, it was a great start to the day, as I love winter, and having the opportunity to drive through stunning surroundings such as the area surrounding Castle Mountain in Banff park made it all worth while.
Before long the sun would cast it's rays on the ramparts of Castle Mountain, and although I have seen this spectacle before, it is one I never get enough of.
Down the road a ways, I planned on shooting photos of a Canadian Pacific train, however in the meanwhile, I planned on playing radio, and enjoying a cup of tea that I had brewed earlier before leaving home in the pre-dawn darkness of Calgary.
