VE6AB Mobile Ops
Fire and Ice
Sunrise finds me going down the road on a coolish kinda morning, the temperature sitting at -25 Celsius on my truck thermometer.
As I came up on this forlorn looking windmill sitting off to the side of this backroad just before sunrise, I was attracted to its appearance in the breaking dawn, and after locking in the front axle of my mobile, I pulled it in as close to it as I could without getting stuck in the snow, allowing me to frame the two together as the sun came up over the horizon.
It took several trips back and forth between the interior of my mobile and my camera, before I captured the image I desired, as I kept losing feeling in my fingers, go figure!
Fun couple of hours out and about, with good company on the radio spinning the VFO on my TS-480 while going down the road.
