VE6AB Mobile Ops
VE6AB-8 Diagnostics
In this photo, my laptop is connected via the USB/serial converter cable to my VE6AB-8 ADS-WS1 weather station module visible at the top of the photo, part of the electronics package mounted in the cargo bay of my mobile.
The config screen is in view, and I have brough up the page that allows me to set the parameters required for the weather station to display the correct information that you observe on the Internet, and on the displays of APRS devices like my Kenwood TM-D710A that decodes the weather packets and displays them.
Click on the photo for a closer look at the sensor adjustments that I have made, and check on from time to time.....
I also use this same laptop to connect to the OT3m located just to the left of the ADS-WS1 module.
A USB cable is required to access the OT3m for configuring parameters related to the TNC, and the settings required to allow it to communicate with the ADS-WS1 module, and the Yaesu VX-170 located just to the left of the OT3m.
