VHF/UHF Mobile OPS

As capable as the Kenwood D710A mounted in my mobile is, with both the capability of being used as a digipeater, or a cross-band-repeater, it cannot do both simultaneously.

So I set about to change that with the installation of a Argent Cable OT3m with its own dedicated transceiver mounted in the cargo area of my mobile.

With my TH-D710A mounted up front, and the OT3m mounted in the rear, I now have a cross-band-repeater and a fill-in digipeater capable of operating simultaneously.

Now when I strategically position my mobile somwhere, its as simple as activating both devices, and then while I am away from my mobile, I am able to connect to either network through my mobile with my Kenwood TH-D72 Handi-Talki.

I also have a APRS weather station in the works, as the OT3m has the capability of supporting one.
