VE6AB Mobile Ops
Black Ops
Early morning finds my mobile sitting beneath a wooden train trestle that is part of the Canadian National line that runs from Calgary to Mirror and then to Toefield, where it connects with CN's transcontinental main line.
There are two trains a day on this line, and I was expecting one to arrive shortly.
Of course I planned on moving my mobile before that happened, as you never know!
Recently, I seem to enjoy observing trains, and maybe capturing a pic or two of their goings on.
While waiting, I spent time spinning the VFO on my HF rig, and in particular on 40 meters, as there were openings in to Europe that was pleasing to me, as for the most part, the bands haven't been that great recently.
With several contacts in the log, the sound of a distant diesel horn made me put the mic down for a bit, but I would be back.
