VE6AB Mobile Ops
Right Seat Tactical Ops
When I have an operator/navigator sitting in the right seat of my mobile, the radio stack may be adjusted through a 90 degree arc from left to right allowing for the right seat to have command of the radios and navigational devices.
In this photo, the radio stack has been adjusted for the right seat, although not to the extreme right position, so that from the driving position in the left seat, I am still able to see the radio stack if required.
The adjustment is made by releasing a cam-lock lever at the base of the radio-stack, allowing for the positioning of the assembly as required.
I purchased the Avalanche knowing that once I made the necessary modifications, and installed all the gear, it would make for the ultimate ham radio mobile.
