VE6AB Mobile Ops
The Visitor
With a beautiful start to the second day of 2018, you find my mobile parked just off of a backroad in Banff Park located in the southern Alberta Rockies.
In actuality I had a bigger plan in place, as I had brought my manpack with me, and I planned on snowshoeing in to a location in the park where I would set up and operate my Yaesu FT897D connected up to my 10-40 meter magloop antenna.
Although I have spent a fair amount of time operating with the 10-40 meter magloop antenna that I built in my workshop some months ago, I felt further testing of the antenna in mountainous terrain would be beneficial to seeing how it performs under those circumstances.
With everything loaded up, I'm headed out as seen here.....
