Radio Stack - Fully Adjustable Positioning
Another look from a different angle of the radio stack in my mobile.
All components of the radio stack have fully adjustable positioning through the use of double-ended ball-joint mounts.
If you look close, you can count four different double-ended ball-joint mounts, with individual adjusting knobs that allow adjustments of the individual devices that make up my radio stack.
I built this complete assembly, although some of the assembly were parts that I utilized meant for other applications.
The double jointed flange mounts that all of the control heads and GPS devices are fastened to were originally meant for a different application.
They are no longer available as the company that made them no longer exists.
The main mounting post was originally a photography monopod that I modified by discarding the 2 lower sections and shortening the remaining section.
Different brackets used throughout the top assembly for the double jointed flange mounts to bolt to, I bent up from sheet metal with the use of a sheet metal brake in my shop.
This complete mount assembly actually was built for my previous mobile, a 2004 Ford F150 that I owned prior to my purchasing my 2012 Avalanche.
Moving the assembly in to my Avalanche consisted of building a new lower mount assembly to bolt to the seat assembly in my Av.
The radio stack may also be adjusted for left or right seat operations, with the camlock lever that is located at the floor where the radio stack is mounted.
You cannot fully appreciate what a pleasure it is, to have total control over how your various devices in the stack may be positioned for the optimum viewing angle, until you have a fully adjustable radio stack such as this one.
