On this rain filled day you find my mobile parked overlooking the Sheep river near its headwaters located in Kananskis Country bordering the southern Alberta Rockies just north of Montana.
Before leaving my mobile located on this high vantage point while I waded and fished the Sheep river in the canyon below, I activated the digipeater of my Kenwood D710A part of the radio stack in my mobile.
Although my mobile was being heard by a distant digipeater part of the APRS network, the Kenwood D72 HT that I would have with me while wading and fishing the Sheep river in the canyon it flowed through, would need the help of the fill-in digi in my mobile to connect to the same APRS network.
