The Stunning Spring Landscape
I love this time of the year in the southern Alberta Rockies, what with winter in the rear view mirror, and spring at its finest.
This is the time of spring when the upper reaches of the Rockies are still wearing their winter coats, and at the lower elevations, like where I am about to leave my mobile parked on the side of this backroad, the snow has been replaced by the signs of spring everywhere.
Some of the signs of spring being green grass, Dandelions blooming in the ditches, and interestingly, at one spot I found Crocuses blooming on a slope overlooking the Sheep river canyon.
In this photo I am located in the sheep valley located in Kananaskis Country situated along the eastern slope of the Rockies.
The Sheep river is located nearby, and as soon as I was done gathering up the things that I was bringing with me, I planned on going for a short hike with my manpack as seen in this link photo....,
