I did not get the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, but I did get this photo as the storm moved on. Want a hint on getting good shots of rainbows as the storm passes? Use a polarizing filter, and shoot the photo 90 degrees to the sun, maximizing the colors of the rainbow.
With the summer season upon us, thunderstorms are on the horizon. I was out of the house with my camera, and headed out northeast of Calgary, where a thunderstorm was brewing. After following the storm cell for a while, I managed to drive in to it, and the hail was mighty loud as it smashed against my truck.
