Everyone as heard of Red Rock country in Arizona, and the Wildlands of Utah.
Photographers flock there to shoot photographs of the stunning landscapes that abound in all directions, and rightly so.
However Alberta can hold its own, and who's to argue with scenes like this one available for your photographing pleasure.
On this day I spent all morning hiking and shooting photographs in the badlands of eastern Alberta, and I didn't see another soul in all that time.
Photographs shot throughout these badlands near sunrise and sunset are to die for, and I love the sagebrush located in this valley, as it looks like the sagebrush from the western movies I loved watching as a kid.
With the arrival of spring around the corner, and the return of Meadowlarks to the grasslands of eastern Alberta, well lets just say I will be back!
