With my antenna analyzer connected to my 30 meter HF antenna mounted on the rear of my mobile, I am using the smith chart to display the RF Network for my antenna.
With the information shown on the smith chart of my antenna analyzer, I can tell that my antenna although somewhat inductive on the frequency that I have dialed in, the antenna is somewhat capacitive as I move towards the frequency of 10.147.60 MHz the frequency that I use this 30 meter coil for.
I won't make any further adjustments to the antenna, as it is in the range required. If I felt it was necessary, I would accomplish this by adding inductance with an adjustment to the coil.
I also would make these adjustments with the antenna analyzer connected to the feed-point of the antenna.
I am very pleased with how this coil turned out since I finished building it and putting it into service on my mobile.
In the end the proof is in how well it performs under actual usage, and with many stations in the log, its a keeper.
