Emergency Preparedness 72 Hours Go Box
I am continually upgrading my emergency go box, and in this view of my go-box, you get a look at the Scepter military water can that I am now using for my water needs.
Also seen in this view, and on the extreme right of my go-box, is the military waterproof container used for my food storage, keeping the food items out of harms way of the other items stored in my go-box.
Included in my food storage in no particular order, is the following...
Survival Trail Mix (made up with ingredients from the Bulk Barn)
Selection of Soup mixs
Raisans
Fruit Rolls
Packets of Honey
Hot Cocco Mix
Power Bars
Beef Jerky
Choices of Teas
Powdered Drinks
Granolla Bars
Oatmeal
Almond Powdered Milk
various freeze-dried meals
Remember to stay on-top of your "best before due date" and rotate your food items. In my case, I snack out of my food storage when I am backroading, and replace those items when I run low.
Remember its about survival, and my choices are ones that keep me from going hungry, but are also easily eaten with little preparation.
You may have your own thoughts on what to include in your food storage.
