The Wood Duck

My Photo "The Wood Duck" was awarded 1st Place in 'Flora and Fauna' at the 'Vancouver International Mountain Film Festival
This award winning photograph was shot on a beautiful fall morning in October, when the early morning light just after sunrise was soft and wonderful.
The Wood Duck is considered by many to be the most beautiful of North American waterfowl.
Lunch Break

This photograph entered in the Vancouver International Mountain Film Festival photo competition, placed 2nd in "Flora and Fauna".
There are actually two Mule deer fawns, and the second one's ears are just visible in mom's shadow.
Harvest Days

I love fall on the plains of Southern Alberta when scenes such as this come to life. I found these five combines harvesting this field of Canola southeast of Calgary near the town of Carsland Alberta.
The Perfect 10.

She has so much raw beauty that this photographer felt powerless in her presence.
She is so amazing, so breath-taking, that she can have whom she wants, any time she wants...

She lives in her own special world, a world most of us can’t even imagine...

I love you

Limber Pine - Chimney Rock Ridge

Anytime I come across a limber pine while out and about in the rocks, I stop and shoot photos, as I really enjoy the looks of these high-elevation pines.

The most famous of limber pines in Alberta, may be the Boundary Pine that is on the front cover of the book "The Buffalo Head" by the R. M. Patterson

I shot my photo (link below) of the Boundary Pine in 2009...... 75 years after RM Patterson shot his black & white photo.
